Issues updating stock availability  en

Since I updated the program to the latest version 2020.3.7, I am getting this error while trying to update the stock.

I have checked my databases in Hostgator, but nothing seems to be wrong there.

Can anyone assist with this? I have attached a photo below.

There is a connection error with your databse.

Check the database setup (name password user adress), check firewall / virusscanner....

There is eather something wrong in settings or blocked.

hope you will find it, it's difficult to point out because it's connection error of some kind......
It could also be at the provider, but mostly somewhere between settings in x5 and settings at the host.

or betweent that (firewall and so on...)

At this point, I am not sure what it is.

1. I have set the firewall settings to allow Websitex5 to work

2. I've checked my Databases in Websitex5 and in CPanel and nothing seems wrong there either

3. I've also deleted the product and added it again but I keep getting the same error message.

It just can't be anything else then a setting or connection somewhere.

In this post:

it seems that the provider changed safetyissues, could that be the case for you as well?

Check with your provider, maybe they can assist?

I have same version as you have, and tested several projects and several databses, thet all work fine, so x5 seems to good, at least for ftp connections wich i use......

I was having issues with FTP last week, but that was fixed this week when I contacted Hostgator. Everything works fine now besides updating the stock on the site. I will check with them again though.

Emmanuel,
Just to be sure, you can't update stock onsite through the update button in the shopping card, the update button  downloads the quantity's in case you have sold something in the shop and update's this way your local stock (in x5) so infact it's a download from stock from your webserver)

To change's quantity you made in x5 you need to upload this the normal way in step 5.

Hope this helps as well.....

Yes i understand. I used this feature for over a year and it worked great. There is surely something weird going on that I have not figured out yet since the most recent update.

Even though it says "Connection error, it is not possible to complete the operation," when I look on my website, the stock went from 0 to 355. Take a look at the new pics below:

I tried updating the stock; 50 units on more than 1 occasion, and suddenly the site now states 355 even though it was just 0.

Now I tried correcting it by taking away 250 but when I upload the change Step 5, nothing happens. I will keep looking to see what the issue is, but don't quite understand it yet.

Thanks for checking in Andre E.

Have you made changes yourself?

For instance set a different table prefix in the shop (step1 -> advanced tab -> sending order tab.
This will could give you dramatic changes because x5 will look at a different database table.

Also checkup: php at your host should be set to 7.1

The PHP is currently set at 7.3. Should I change it?

Also, should I recreate the database and link it in the (step1 -> advanced tab -> sending order tab?
