Template Error  en

I have made a change to the footer of my template, i increased it from 300 to 400, for the footer background and footer. The footer was left transperent and the background was black.

Before i made the change everytung worked fine, but now, i can preview the site, it looks fine, but when i upload it, its wrong.

It displays with what looks like a white background from 300-400 i.e. the orginal 300 is shown as it was black, but the extra 100 seems to be white.

With the smaller breakpoints i changed from 400 to 500, they have the same problem, i am left with white in the new area.

I deleted everything from the ste using Filezilla, and then uploaded everything again, but no change.

When i view the template footer in section 2, it again looks correct.

What could e happening?

Thanks.

P.S

If you have not already done so try ctrl+F5 in your browser, or perhaps try an alternative browser? It may be the local cache in your browser misleading you. If the problem still exists try CTRL+preview in WX5 before exporting and upload again.

A link to your website may also assist us.

Hello Esahc,

Yes i did try this, Ctrl - Preview, different browser etc.

Interestingly, i changed the colour of the footer background yesterday, just to see what would happen, this also displays fine in preview, but when published it has not changed - that was yesterday.

I added a title to the footer content, that is fine in preview, and is displayed fine on the website instantly.

The problem has happened since changing the template footer height, it appears to be ignoring the colour changes.

As i said i removed all the files from the seerver, and re-uploaded, so it must be caused by the software.

I can't put a link here, becuase previously when you searched for the website, results from here also apeared.

UPDATE -

I just chnaged the footer to a 500 height, removed all the text etc., apart from one logo, put this at the top in footer content.

Again previewed fine, when published half of the footer is black, the other is white, the logo is shown in the white area.

This has to be a bug.

Becuase it does not very professional when a customer searches for your buiness, and finds links to a website design company - asking questions on how to do something!

My problem is now solved - it was not a bug, it was the host's cache that needed to be purged.

Or, even more unprofessional, would be if the site was being done for someone else.
