Is there any way other than manually editing the page html on the server of adding explicit image width and height in X5?

It looks like improvement to google CLS score can be gained from that ability.

Hello. Yes, you can edit the page code directly on the hosting. But any change on the site in the program and uploading the site to the hosting can cancel your changes.

You can also put html code as your own, simplified pages on the server without a template and insert them into the project using an iframe, so wx5 will never change them.

if you want it to be completely safe from being overwritten, simply write-protect it on the server.
