I'm trying to open a project created with v12 in v21
I do th follwoing
v12: export to iwzip
copy iwzip to v21 directory
open v21, import the iwzip and then try to open the project
I get the message ... initializig project files ... then ... project was created with a previous version (v12) and will be automaticaly converted ........ then then I waited for up one hour (this is how much I waited) but the conversions does not happen and the project doew not open .
I use also the optimizer
Open the iwzip then the oprimizer works and about on the 75% of the process optiimizer stop doing anything
iwprj is 1084 KB
iwzip is 31 MB
Any advice ?
Thank you

There have been issues in the past which were fixed by unzipping and rezipping.
Make a copy of the iwzip.
Rename as zip, then unzip. Using a suitable program (I use 7zip), create a new zip file. Rename as iwzip and try to import now.
Please let us know if it works for you.

Hi
Thank you for the reply.
However the problem is not with the iwzip file.
The file is imported correctly but when you click to open the project - open the iwprj file, you receive the message:
... initializig project files ... then ... project was created with a previous version (v12) and will be automaticaly converted ........ then then I waited for up one hour (this is how much I waited) but the conversions does not happen and the project does not open .
It seem sthat foe some reason the iwzip fileopen in v12 but cannot be converted to any other version snce I have tried with v19 & v20!!
Should I upload the iwzip file?
Thank you
Hello Dimitrios
In v.12 you had the "automatic" menu system when using a left-menu. This has been totally changed since then.
I suggest you start with a new project in v.2021.3.
You have all material as you have the project. It is then rather easy to copy text and images and if you have some code, you can also copy that - maybe the code then need an edit.
I think this could end up to be quicker than it will be to strugge with the conversion, and afterwards correct the "converted" version.
If you start with a new project you will also have a "clean" project without old errors and conversion errors.
Just a suggestion.
Dimitrios, John is probably right, but if you want me to run it thru earlier versions I would be pleased to help. You will find my email address at https://esahc.com along with other contact details.
Check you can import the iwzip back into V12 first (this will not overwrite the existing project).
