When a sender uses a gmail account no mail comes to me.
However, the database is updated.
With other accounts I have no problems.

My user account is a domain email account

I have tried different script types.

My php is version 8

Hello. Try PHP 7.4. Give a link to the page with your form.
Check your SPAM folder.

Attached is a simple test project.
If in the form as email address a G-mail account is entered the form is not received by ***.
The sender does receive the confirmation email
With other email accounts I have no problem.

What have I tried?
All Scripttypes
PHP 8 and 7.4
The mails do not arrive in the spambox

Hello Kees

if you've noticed that all email seems to work but not when using a gmail account, the issue can definitely be found in your emailing server. The software itself makes no distinction between email domains, so the software is probably not the cause

Investigate this with your hosting support and keep me posted here after

Thank you

Stefano

It appears to be a problem in WebsiteX5 after all.

I have tested it in the various versions.
Until version 2021.1.5. no problem, after that until 2021.3.5 the error occurs.

I have now tried the preview version 2021.4.1.

It does not have the problem with the Gmail account and seems to be solved.

Hello Kees

As mentioned in my previous post, it is very unlikely that the software version can have anything do to with this

Depending on how you set up your Contact Form, you may be trying to use your users' address as the sender for subscription confirmation emails.

If so, the mail server would block them. The fact that you can normally receive or send emails from the address has nothing to do with what the site has to do to send the emails, so it is not necessary to compare the two, in reality very different in terms of operation.

Can you forward me the second configuration screen of the Form object so I can verify it?

Let me know

Thanks

Stefano

Hello Kees

Configuration-wise it seems fine. In order to correctly understand what is stopping these emails, I would like to suggest proceeding as I advised before

Contact your hosting provider and ask to verify if the emailing server contains any log that indicates why that email isn't being sent. I'm sure some helpful information must be present in there

Keep me posted here

Thank you

Stefano
