Lost access to database after updating to v2021.4.4  en

I have updated from v2021.3.5 to v2021.4.4 this morning and I no longer have access to my databases on host server. It worked fine before i did the update. How can I roll back ?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the newest version

May I ask you what you mean exactly by "no longer have access to my databases on host server"?

Is the software not exporting? Do you get a specific issue when doing so? Is the website not working right?

Please provide more information to me here as to what this error specifically looks like so that I might provide the best assistance possible

The website uploads to the server but on testing by sending the data to the new table it is not created in the database on my new page. On a page that worked yesterday I get a message that says

This page isn't working at the moment

"www.friendsofhcps.co.uk can't currently handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500"

It works if I just send the data to an email address.

I am not an expert but I have been operating this website for a number of years and it seems more than a coincidence that I have a problem immediately after updating. I would like to roll back to previous version v2021.3.5 and then I can ascertain if the problem lies elsewhere. I did create a back up.

Error 500 is unfortunately very vague and it is hard for me to be able to understand exactly what might be going wrong. However, when an error 500 appears, the real error with more details gets written in an Error log in the server

Please contact the support of your hosting provider and ask them to check the error log for you. Report the real error to me here so that I might be able to investigate it for you

Can I roll back to previous version ? You are just pushing the problem elsewhere. I will do as you say however, as they have always proved very helpful in the past which is why I will not migrate to your hosting.

Hello Peter

Yes of course you can download the previous version again from the "Downloads" page here on the Help Center and use that again. Keep in mind that you will need to import into it a previous version of the project, like a backup since you can no longer import the converted project back into the previous version

Works fine using v2021.3.5 so incompatibility with my host server or something. I will contact them when I have time but I have some catching up to do after a wasted day.
