Apologies for my lack of expertise, I have just taken advantage of the X5 hosting option, but I'm experiencing difficulty in understanding the transfer of my current domain ( www.minster-gothic.com) from One.com to X5s Hosting system. One.com are about to take payment for the renewal of hosting, so I need to work it out fairly quickly. I have uploaded my site using the username.websitex5.me but of course that seems to set up a separate website my minster-gothic.com does not redirect to the new site.
I've tried following the intructions on the help site, but find them a bit confusing. Do I need to contact One.com to arrange the transfer?
Again, apologies for my ignorance/lack of skill. Thanks in advance.

Hello.Watch this video from 00:03:35. Add your domain to X5 hosting as shown in the video, and then change the DNS records like this. If you cannot change the DNS records, write to the technical support of one.сom.
It may take up to 72 hours after a change to record to become effective. This usually takes about 1-24 hours. Also note that you do not need to renew your one.сom hosting, but you will need to renew your domain if it runs out.

Thank you Aleksej. I will work through the instructions and report back. Hopefully with a success story! Thanks again.
It's my pleasure.

Hi Aleksej, sorry to report that I have had no success in following your instructions/advice. To the best of my knowledge I was able to change all the DNS settings as instructed, but I keep getting "An error has occurred" message when trying to complete the operation.
I have however, succeeded in taking my website completely off-line! Not a good thing.
I am in the process of dealing with the one.com helpdesk. I will see if they can solve the problem. Best wishes.

Still no luck. One.com helpdesk operative advised to wait 2 hours for dns alterations to take effect. But still the error message.

Upload your website to both hosting.
I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.

Thank you Aleksej. I will try again this morning. But very soon One.com will take my payment for next year's hosting.

It also doesn't help that my website is not visible on the web.
Hello David
I've checked your screenshot.
Compared to the table we provided, you inserted many data with www. when it wasn't needed. Specifically there:
Please remove the www from there as it appears in our table and try again
Keep me posted here
Thank you
Stefano

Thanks for the advice Stefano. I thought that indeed it would solve the problem. However, no success. The same error message. I've enclosed a side by side screenshot to see if you can spot any more errors. I notice that some of the settings are not in the same order, but when I enter into the One.com system, that is the order that they come out.

I have noticed that the One.com system does have a lot more available settings compared to the 7 on the new system. Is that a possible problem?

Hi Stefano At last I can report some success. I managed to change the dns settings on One.com to work with the It.com system. All uploaded OK. I used the exact same information as I used yesterday, but this time it worked.
ONE MORE QUESTION please. How do I insert the dns alterations into the new hosting system to redirect my email via the MS Office 365 system? Thanks in advance. Dave.
