Even though I only speak English, which is my preference in my profile, Italian is how your site appears on my monitor. How do I fix this?

Hello, even if you have set my data to English on your profile?

Check the URL carefully!

Sometimes it happens to me too to browse the site in a different language. Simply the search engine (Google) suggests the site to me in other languages and by clicking on it, the one in future navigations is saved.

I appreciate your response. What I don't understand is,  I'm clicking on links within this site. Why is it overriding my set preference. When I click on a link to go to a comment on W5's site, is Google involved in that process, overriding my set language preference?

Hello Stephen

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing such a problem.

It must be somehow linked to the computer configuration because I must say that I do not believe to have ever received such a report by any other user.

If you change the website language to English with the language bar in the Help Center's footer, does it stay that way?

Keep me posted here please

Thank you

Stefano

Stefano, my preference on the language bar has always been set to English. Somehow it randomly switches to Italian then back to English. If it is something I am doing, I am not aware of it. I'm baffled.

Hello Stephen

You mention that you are clicking links on the site. Do you mean links written by other users too?

If so, keep in mind that their link can change the language of the website for you.

For example this link:

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/247706

Would take you to this topic and change the language to IT

Could this be the case?

Thank you

Stefano

Stefano, I think you pinpointed the problem. I did indeed click on a link within a post. Is there any way to fix that other than using Google translate?
