Website X5 Evo 9 reports not to find flash.ocx. But flash player 11.1 is installed correctly. The website preview does not show the flash video. But Firefox displays correctly.

How to solve the problem? Where to get the missed flash.ocx ?

Download this again and when finished installing REBOOT your computer:

I have done this already. The latest flash player is installed. But there is no flash.ocx on my system anymore. Both \Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash and \Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash directories do not contain a *.ocx file anymore.

Rebbot didn't help either.

You are supposed to have two Active X controls on your system:

Flash11e.ocx & Flash64_11_1_102.ocx

What OS are you using........

I do not find a Flash11e.ocx or Flash64_11_1_102.ocx on my system. But the system control reports to have Flash Player 11.1.102.62 installed on my Win7 64 home system.

I have 3 computers all supporting Win 7 HP 64Bit!!

2 Desktops (1 - Alienware) & 1 laptop - In all the "WINDOWS" folders they have the above Active X controls that I informed you about?

You mentioned FF have you IE on the system too? Because we found that X5 uses the MS Browser and if IE isn't installed or up-to-date the preview can be affected!

Strange your OS is not showing these "Crucial" files??

Yes I have IE on my laptop.
But your question was helpful in some way. First I have downloaded the uninstall tool from Adobe and unistalled the Flash Player. Then I have downloaded the flash player and installed for IE. So IE now showed the flash vide of my website. As Firefox did not show the video I have in addition downloaded the install file with Firefox and installed it. Now the browsers are ok and also there is a flash111.ocx-file in \Windows folders.

So finally also Website X5 preview is working again.
