Again Slideshow display problem with Firefox

Hi,

a simple slideshow is not shown correctly with Firefox (before 11.xx, now 12.0, latest Shockwave Flash Plugin). IE or ws x5 9 preview is ok.

See http://www.audiovero.de/acourate.html

Can someone help? I know it has worked some time before, I guess it was with ws x5 8,

I have searched for other posts. But no one has helped. The picture filenames do not include an underscore charcter _.

Regards

Uli

Hello Uli,

I have checked your webiste on Firefox as well as on Internet Explorer.
My question is now: Do you want the Slideshow to be autoplayed? Because if you want so, I have to tell you that it is not working on my PC on both browser.
What are your settings for the Slideshow (maybe you can attach a Screenshot)?
Are you also using the newest version of Flashplayer?

kind regards,

Lisa

Hello Lisa,

the autoplay has not been switched on (by intention). I have done now. The IE display is ok. Now Firefox also starts to display the pictures but there is a gray square box left inside the picture.

I use the latest Flashplayer installed with Firefox but the display has not improved.

Regards

Uli

Hello Uli,

the problem with gray square is related to the image. What you can do is delete the images and insert them again. Then upload the page again.

kind regards,

Lisa

Hello Lisa,

I have followed you advise but this does not change anything. I also have deleted the gallery by FTP before uploading the page.

Sorry Lisa,

the topic is not solved. I have wrongly clicked on 'Correct' to correct a typo.

Ok, I have followed your advise. But the gray box is still there, no solution. I have also deleted the gallery by FTP on the server before upload of the new page.

Regards

Uli

Hello Uli,

the problem with the grey box in your image is related to the program you used to create the image, since it contains information about the curve.
I suggest you to delete this image and recreate it. Then put it in your project.

kind regards,

Lisa

Hello Lisa,

I do not understand what you mean by the "curve information". I have just used the gallery object and added some PNG images (screenshots by SnippingTool). I have already deleted the list and added the images (the same). What is the difference between IE and firefox here?

Regards

Uli

Hello Uli,

if I take a look at pictures I see that the grey box in the inside of the picture says "information" and contains information of the curve on the picture.
So I think you have to remake the screenshot of the picture.
There is no difference between IE and Firefox. In both browsers the slideshow is working perfectly.

kind regards,

Lisa

Now after renameing the files from xx1.png, xx2.png, ..., xx10.png, xx11.png ... to xxa.png, xxb.png, ... xxm.png, xxn.png ... and uploading these file

plus deleteing the Firefox cache the gallery is working now. The pictures are kept unchanged otherwise.

I got the idea to rename by observation that the automatic display did not start from picture 1 but later.

The gray box now also disappears, it seems to be generated by the flash player. It looks like during the loading of the flash a box with a circle is displayed. like the startup of a movie.
