Connection error for database upload  en

I have a connection to database error message coming up when I try update our store database. "Connection error:it is not possible to complete operation"

I have only recently tried to update our store after some time on non usage. I have checked the connections etc on our cPanel and also test OK on the Admin section.

Could anyone point me in the correct direction to regain the connection?

Thank you in anticipation

Yep, that depends on how X5 is feeling today laughing

In 80% of all cases the error message is wrong. It is not a connection problem, if for example the update of the user registration works. On my side the php error engine pops up with an SQl error in function auto_increment in X5engine.php or something like this (I deleted the error file).

My QuickFix, open the admin database console, make a backup copy of the W5_xxx_xx_cart_dynamic_products table, clear all entries in the table by deleting all products and try again to sync it with X5. In my case it works fine so far and all products with correct stock numbers are there.

Hi Martin.

Just tried this, firstly with X5, deleted an item and tried to update, same error.

Logged on to SQL deleted a single item from table, then tried again. Same error, so I then deleted all items from the table (There were only 40 anyway) as we haven't implemented the store fully yet. All was working the las time I looked at this over 2 years ago.

Hi Andy,

I was struggeling in that problem when I updated from X5 v.16.xx to 2022.xx. In my case on a new database, new template etc. X5 even didn't create the tables for comments and dynamic cart products, but on the other hand everything for user registration, analytics were fine. Therefore I decide to import the missing tables from another server install, edit the table names to the right ID's and fill it up with update button.

Hope you made a backup of the table. Otherwise the shop will be empty.
