I am trying to iron-out an issue I’m having updating the users list within WebsiteX5 app (Step 1). I keep having connection issues.

While searching for a solution, I came upon this post: https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/220340 in which, the thread comes to an abrupt end with Alekej H saying “Duplicate post https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/220274” (which is locked).

Assuming that WebsiteX5 pulls the connection details from the FTP/DB parameters on the upload page to update the user list, I changed the DB host variable from “localhost” to server IP, with no effect.

Again, with the assumption that connection details from the FTP/DB parameters are used to update the user list, I have changed the associated DB user permissions to allow connections from xxx.xxx.xxx.% instead of “localhost”.

I’d rather not expose my DB directly to the internet, and believe that it should not be necessary in my case.

Does anyone know what it is that I’m missing?
