Upgrade from Evo 15 to current 2022.3  en

Website X5 has been a tremendous help in developing a web presence. Its user friendly features are remarkable and it is so easy to build a website.

I have Evolution V15 and it works quite well. When I start it up a notice appears that it was published 4 years ago and is no longer supported. A list of issues appears and tecnological advances are noted. So I am considering purchasing the current version 2022.3.

My question is- Will all my website upgrade to the new 2022.3 seamlessly? What should I watch out for? How is PayPal commerce different? (V15 produces a PayPal Pay Now button that still works okay)

(My main website is:  scparikh.com.)

Thank you.

To be on the safe side, use WebSite X5 Evo 15 > 5 Export > Export project to create a backup copy, copy it and save it e.g. on an external hard drive, USB stick or similar.

It is best to keep the old version Evo 15 on the computer so that you can continue working with the old program and the old backup copy in an emergency.

Then you can install the new WebSite X5 and call up the backup copy on the PC so that WebSite X5 can convert the (old) backup copy and then check whether everything is ok, you may have to adjust small things.

I reckon your site will import with great ease. You could import and export directly to the web and other than a few margin changes and a bit of text reformatting few would notice.

But the joy of wx5 is that the existing site can be maintained in v15 whilst you finesse your site to take advantage of the new features, not the least of which will be responsive.

The conversion will turn some things (eg menu) into images, these can be easily replaced. I can not imagine that PayPal will stop.

I looked at your existing site and I see so many opportunities to use new features (eg parallax), and new effects to improve the user experience, the learning curve will initially throw a curved ball, but in no time you will learn where to find the settings you have today been so familiar with. It will be fun.

Remember that you have 30 days money back offer. If it all ends in tears you can always stay with v15 because if you take our advise you will not upload the new version of the site until you are absolutely pleased with it.

And yes, somewhere along the way you will wish you had pro just to make use of one minor feature, but the price jump is large and everything you must have is in Evo.
