Checkout and PayPal problem
Author: Mark M.I have Website X5 v9.0.6.1775 and I am having a problem of the payment method and delivery option not showing in the order mail received by vendor from the site but they are shown in the email the customer receives.
Also when the customer enters their contact details and goes to the order confirmation screen the ‘next’ option takes them to the order has been processed page saying the confirmation email has been sent.
- Below this is the order number generated.
- Below this there is the PayPal order now button...
The problem is that the site sends out the emails of the order details and the confirmation as though the payment has been made, when in fact it is not as you do not have to go to the PayPal site.
Surely the PayPal button should appear on the confirmation page so the customer goes to the PayPal system and then returns to the ‘order has been processed page’ and be given the order number?
How do I correct these two problems?
Thanks,
Mark.
P.S. I too am having the ‘UNDEFINED TOTAL IN CHECKOUT ‘ unless the payment and shipping options are changed off the ones they are on and then put back - hopefully this will be put right in the next update as mentioned in other posts – If I have time this weekend will try the beta version ...

Thank you 'Der Zwoemti' for the prompt reply, my German is not very good but your solution does seem to solve the 'undefined total' problem in the check out.
However this dosn't sort the problem with order being confirmed before the PayPal button is even clicked - which, arguably, could be seen as a bigger problem if you are selling goods.

Spoke too soon about the 'undefined total' problem being fixed - it is still happening unless you change something in the shopping cart - i.e. either a quantity, a payment method or a shipping method...

My mistake regarding the non-fix of the 'undefined total' problem - I just overwrote the entire site rather than just uploading the updates and I am now getting the totals correctly.
Still would like the button position problem sorting though.
Hi Mark M.,
the PayPal button position can not be changed with WebSite X5.
The only way to modify it is to change the html code but we do not offer any assitance for that. Thanks for understanding!

Thanks for your answer Noemi,
I had considered messing with the code but I bought X5 for an easy life and make it easy to update my site as the products change; So I have rewritten the email text to encourage people to click on the button and not overlook it as there is no going back to the cart (it's emptied) from the confirmation page. Fortunatly I have found that the button is put into the confirmation email and the custoner can still click on that from their email and still access the paypal payment page.
Still, it would be nice if you could revise the position or give an option for the location of the button.
Regards,
Mark.
