Since you purchased a new license instead of extending the existing one, I would suggest you to wait until the expiration date before activating it. Once your original license expires you can reinstall the software and activate it with the new license.

Oh, thanks Elisa! I didn't know that there was difference between the processes. Would be possible to change the new license for an extension, in order to avoid the reinstall need?

We can disable this new license and possibly add a new extension code so to extend the other license for a further 12 months, but please consider that in this way you would lose the 12 months included with the purchase of the new license.
