Page Loading Speed  en

PageSpeed Insights deliver very variable results, for mobile devices at least. Results hoover between 40 and 60 for

https://www.clubtaxi.nl/ & https://www.clubtaxi.nl/en

But reality is, page loading results are too slow.

And I have no idea what is going on, battling this issue every few months.

I think I minimized pictures correct. I wrote few json scripts, removed them to see what happens with no result. My idea is, and I can be totally of, the page misses the info on how long to cache items. Am I overlooking an option to set a timer for each part of the page?

Does anybody has an idea what causes my frustration? Thanks a lot.

Go to Step 1 - Settings > SEO

on the right should be the following options must be enabled:

  • enable file minification
  • enable gzip compression

After making the change, click on the preview button while holding down the Ctrl key and wait until the progress bar has run through completely. This rebuilds the project. Then upload everything.

Thanks Franz-Josef, the file minification and gzip compression has been enabled (as long as I remember). I tried the use of Ctrl key during preview just now, but without a measurable result.

So, thanks again for trying, open for more suggestions.

Have you rebuilt the project as described above? And after this was the project completely re-uploaded, not just the changes? I think not necause The last change to the pages on your webspace was on May 31, 2023. You should already carry out the points as described above...

Correct, I missed that one element in the instruction, everything, as upload complete file. Sorry for that. On a positive note, the last few reports show higher results then in the 30s, a stable in the 50s is already an improvement, but it seems we do not get more result. Perhaps the /en part gives other results, I will complete that part of the mission. Tomorrow is another day to hopefully solve the matter, thanks again.

Other thing is, when I compare the homepage results with landing pages, the home page performs 20 points lower than the landing pages.

And I can not explain this difference with (my) logic. If I would be in the 70s for the homepage, I would be happy enough.

Hello Raoul

I've investigated your website and I noticed these two things:

1_ First of all, the website loads fairly fast. PageSpeed and similar tools are useful for identifying issue but don't let their result be all that matters. The website is well built and light to load.

2_ It seems like what takes the most to load, as noted by PageSpeed too, is content from Google:

The majority of files that take a lot of time to load come from them. PageSpeed identifies the Ad code specifically:

Just look here at the time difference between WebSite X5 files and DoubleClick Ads. 150ms and 950ms

I would advise modifying nothing. The result of this tool won't influence how your website is actually viewed online. Alternatively, according to Google itself, their Ad code is what's slowing down the website the most

I remain available here

Stefano
