Using Showbox with youtube Gallery.  en

I'd really like to use the Showbox to display the Video Interviews / videos, keeps everything local and no YouTube.com clutter everywhere.

But when I use the Showbox I'm not getting any of the video controls that should run along the bottom during a mouseover.

This link demonstrates the issue. https://captnslounge.com/playing-star-again.html

Also, if I click the Showbox "full screen" the Showbox works, but the video stays at the same size.

Is there a workaround to these limitation? (And using the YouTube embed code is not an option I want to use. I tried it.)

Why not just use the video and audio object without extras, then visitors can choose between small screen and full screen with controls.

The visitors should be used to how videos are presented and served by YouTube, then it doesn't really need any frills.

Daniel,

Sorry but not sure what you mean by "Why not just use the video and audio object without extras, "

Of  course, I'd still like to know why the controls don't work in Showbox! cool

Daniel,

CRAP CRAP and Double CRAP!

I had no idea that the video / audio widget worked with YouTube, I thought it was for a local video file.

Guess I'm going to have to change 170 odd pages over surprised

Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction, and after I had to purchase the YouTube widget!

Nigel.

The Video and Audio object has no extras like Showbox, but a choice whether to show the control bar or not.

Incomedia would have to answer why the control was switched off in the Showbox. I suspect that nothing should disturb the showbox effect.
