Problem with upload to shared host who requires ssh, login, autoregistrations 
Author: Matthew K.Hi. I have Website x5 Pro. I have a members site that requires members to login to see pages. I cannot upload the website using X5 upload because the host (namecheap) requires SSH protocols to interact with the SQL database and I find nowhere to put that information in the database management screen in the upload parameters screens.
I did a workaround to form the database, and then manally ftp'd the website files to namecheap. Now I am trying to manage validated logins and move them into the appropriate permissions buckets. I see that I can move names in the Admin screen within X5 software access managment screen but there is no such function in the online website/admin control panel. Why not? that would be helpful and a way to circumvent the SSH problem. It seems that the "refresh" button in the software access managment screen is only download and not upload of the new credentials. How do I update the website with the updated permissions information? Is there a php file or some other file that is created if I "export" the files to local disk that I can ftp to the webiste? Please provide a solution to the problem I am having of uploading new login permissions to a shared host that requires SSH protocols to access the SQL database.
1. why do I not see an option on the on-line admin console to place registered users in appropriate access categories?
2. why is the software access management tool not uploading the updated access permissions to the website?
3. what is my workaround?
I live in Germany and my web host, Hosteurope, has switched off the insecure FTP, so I switched to SFTP.
I wrote about my experiences in the linked post, but the instructions apply to Hosteurope.
Maybe the support of the web hosting provider can help with information.

Now the target directory is still missing, which still needs to be determined, as it is probably different with SFTP than with FTP, but Namecheap support can certainly help with this.
Perhaps the path, which is probably part of the target directory, can be found in the web host's customer area under "General Information".

Thanks. It is something else I think. I only need SSH for interactions with SQL for user login stuff. once the database structure is formed, the login information is in a php file I think, but I am blocked from uploading within X5 software because of the data managment aspect that isn't SSH compatible (in other words, the SSH only comes into play for cPanel access to SQL, not for upload of website files).
