Shopping Cart Checkout  en

The shopping cart is still not working properly on my site. Although I receive notification of orders, the 'Invoice' (more often than not) shows £0 - or 'Undefined' and does not link through to Paypal. Perhaps 1 in every 10 transactions works properly but, as you can imagine, I am losing income from this fault. Clearly the problem is one which is well known. Version 8 worked fine but version 9 (with all of the updates) just isn't working.

Can someone please help with a real solution rather than a suggestion which has already been made and doesn't work?

Thank you.

Are you using Beta versions Yes or No, Are you getting Total Undefined Yes or No?

I'm not using the Beta version. I have had the 'Total Undefined' error but have also had the total showing as £0.

Is there no effective update to resolve the problem... after all, one of the major selling points for X5 is that it is easy to set up an online shop.

Would using the beta version resolve the problem? If so, where can I download it - and (without wishing to sound pessimistic) is it stable or are their other problems with it?

Thanks for your help.

Hello!

The Beta version is stable, no problems with it. You can download it from here if you wish after you have read carefully all the intructions:
http://beta.websitex5.com/beta_en.html

Please remember to create a backup copy of your project.

Thing is... I don't want to be part of any Beta test program. I just want a program that does what it promises. I don't want to have multiple backups of my sites - I want a program that works. It is unbelievable that a program which promises to facilitate e-commerce cannot do it reliably. Perhaps an immediate update could address this problem as clearly many others are experiencing the same thing!

I am losing money and orders now. Please get it sorted.

Well, actually it isn't a beta testing program, we release the ''beta version'' for those of you that require a fix immediately and can not wait for the final release because obviously you need to work on your projects. It simply remains open to futher improvements till its final version.
Unfortunately I can not tell you when the final update will be released by our WebSite X5 creators but I am sure that the issue you are having has been fixed and that it won't take long now.

Hi Samantha... thanks for the response but what I can't understand is why you can't release a small update which resolves this one well known problem - which many users are experiencing. Directly processed sales from my sites are down by over 80% this month!

The e-commerce aspect of WebSite X5 is what attracted me to the program in the first place. (I'm sure I'm not the only one!) How can resolving this problem not be THE priority?

Dear Colin,I understand of course.
Please have a look at this post: http://answers.websitex5.com/post/22451 then follow the procedure given in the answer my colleague Claudio has given. You will recognize it because it is the first one, marked as ''correct''.
Please let me know if everything is fixed.
Thank you for your time and for your patience Colin.
