I was hoping,

now that you are working on improving e-commerce, that it would be possible to show prices with VAT included again.

I have been buying the upgrades for 3 years hoping this simple basic requirement would be added again one day. It is still missing in preview 2024.4.1 Now is the time!

Hi Elisa,

I have spend over 20 hours (in 3 years) to try the possibilities of the guide you linked.

The issue is: when the price lists are entered excluding VAT, the VAT is not added in the advertising.

  • Not added in the product catalog page,
  • not in the product details page, and
  • not in the related products banner.
  • Only when checking out.

KolAsim made a workaround for this with extra code. (This extra code makes the product pages slower and odd)

Eric C. Incomedia, promised in that same post: "I will report this to the development team so that we can consider additional options for how the VAT is displayed in the e-commerce sections."

Elisa, in your guide:

*Case1, selecting excl. VAT:

The shopingcart is only legal for BtoB because the VAT is not advertised.

Wanted solution:

For BtoC it sould have the possibility to choose in this case1, to display with VAT added.

*Case2, selecting incl. VAT:

The prices are considered to be entered in the list with VAT already in, calculated in advance, and the VAT will be extracted out of the total price VAT included. (calculated backwards)

This is not logical because my most of my products can have 0%, 6% or 21% for the same product, depending on the case.
So, when selecting incl. VAT, I need to create most of the products 3 times?

Example:
for product X: basic price without VAT is 100,00
create each product 3 times:

  • BtoB product X +0% VAT, total price = 100,00
  • BtoC product X +21% VAT, total price = 121,00

and many specific BtoC (placed as a renovation):

  • product X +6% VAT, total price = 106,00

In this Case2, when chosing Type= incl. VAT the prices are wrong. The prices for the products had to be Product 1: 100,00+6% advertised as € 106,00

Product 2: 100,00+12% advertised as € 112,00

Product 3: 11,54+21% advertised as € 13,96

Hi Joris,

I get what you mean. Unfortunately, there aren't still news about this matter, but I will be happy to bring the attention back to this matter.

Thanks! Kind regards.

... if you can set products with different VAT, with my IDEA you could get what you see in this simulation made on the site where you used my code:

.

ciao

KolAsim, it seems your VAT adding scripts don't work anymore on the new version :-(
