For years I have WebsiteX5 Evo
I and many others asked for improvements in the shopping cart.
Incomedia postponed everything, and now the shopping cart has disappeared with the latest updates, and is only available in the pro version.
This without any form of warning in advance!!
What will be the next step? Shopping cart from the pro version and only available in the Agency version??
My webshop can no longer be edited, it has always been said that you could use it up to your last (paid) version. Not so!
I was a paying user (from version 9) until last month.
I feel seriously disadvantaged and I will never see you here again.
End of exercise for me with Website X5

@ Incomedia, why?
This is not a good change. You promise customers that the product will keep on functioning as long as they have it and now you remove items from the product???
Please elaborate! Or better yet rethink about this action.
But maybe i am missing something? So please explain..... Thanks!
For others see also here where change is announced.:

Presumably Incomedia wants “a bigger piece of the pie.”
The difference between Evo and Pro is around 4 to 5 euros per month for updates. If you don't have the money, it's better not to run a store.
Compared to the expensive online shop builders, the Pro version of WebSiteX5 is worth it, which is probably why users are still using it.
Hi Jan,
I confirm that, since version 2024.2 released in June this year, e-commerce, as well as some SEO-related functions are no longer available in the Evo edition of WebSite X5. In addition to this, a limit of 100 site pages and 100 blog articles that can be inserted per project has been set. This choice was made based on some usage analysis of the Evo edition, with the aim of making the two editions of the program more clearly distinct.
Thus, to continue managing your project, there are two solutions:
>Do not upgrade and continue using 2024.1, which you can re-download from your profile and for which a backup copy of your project has been created.
>You can switch to the Pro edition, which is still available today 40% OFF here: https://hello.incomedia.eu/promo/2024/10-WSX5202404/e3e442032a624cdb1cdead6e521387e5.php?uty=cont
Thanks! Kind regards.

@Daniel:
It's not about the money, it's purely about the principle.
For years, there have been dozens of requests to Incomedia regarding the shopping cart. Incomedia always comes up with (in their eyes) improvements and not with the solutions that were requested. And without no warning, the removed the shopping-cart.
I wish everyone the best here, but this was the last straw, I'm leaving.
@ Elisa: It's good that this is not reported in advance..... We are desperate for extra work.
@ Andre: Thanks for all your help over the years.
@Andre, maybe you also missed that since version 2024.3 if you have the Evo or Pro version, you CANNOT make websites for third parties by reselling them, but you can only make websites for yourself or non-profit.
If you use a version prior to 2024.3 you can sell the sites you make even if you have an Evo or Pro license.
From version 2024.3 onward, however, you can only sell the sites you make if you use an Agency license.
This is also a big “change.”

@claudio D.
Thanks for the help.
And yes i read this - just yesterday- and don't understand how you can sell a website with the use of x5.
Maybe i shoud check this version out and see how this works.
I have at the moment 2 sites 1 of my own 1 i make for friends but they have there own bussiness.
I use 2 different projects for this and that works fine. (i don't charge them for this)
I never used it in another way so i don't know how that should work, does it mean that if i have the agency version that a third party has also a websitex5 version and can make changes?
I just don't see the use, but again, maybe i should check that version, the way i use it now it's fine so i never had to look for another solution beause i don't make websites to sell for other people, that's not my use.

I have a paid version of Evo until February 2025, and I am outraged by this attitude towards customers! The pro version is not only full of bugs, but also includes a lot of things that I don't need.
The amazing and terrible mistake of Incomedia!
Dnkjewel Jan!
