New Version (2024.4.6) new bugs!  en

Author: Daniel B.

Unfortunately, the latest program version 2024.4.6 Pro introduced on my computer (win7) a major bug, namely that when I make an edit on my page (Black Friday sale info) it is not uploaded to the internet.

I tried many times during these past two days, checked with different browsers, on desktop, mobile etc. and sometimes Website X5 uploads new snippets, but more often not! Please examine as this is vital for business.

Hello Daniel,
I am sorry about the issue.
Could you provide additional informations about this, such as the URL of a page affected by this and a screenshot of how you display it?
Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply Eric.

I am attaching a screenshot from my multilingual website, from the Hungarian page:

https://dbmastering.eu/hu/fizetes.html

By the way, the same thing happens on my German language page. On neither page is the price updated - it only works on my main English language page: https://dbmastering.eu/payment.php

And sentences are also missing on my other language pages (was initially also hard to update on the English page, only after multiple tries did I succeed). The funny thing is that X5 pro tells me that all was well with the upload and I can see the files being uploaded to the host, but still the problems remain...

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Hello,
looking at the three versions, I'm assuming that the German and Hungarian pages should also be displaying the discount that is available on the main version of the website, is that what you are referring to?
If you open the Destination Folder for these versions of the website, do the date/time of last change match those of your last export?

Thanks Eric, it seems we are on the right track now!

I haven't noticed something until now: maybe it is a noob question, but are there supposed to be .php and .html versions of the same page? I am asking because for some reason the payment page's .php is updated whilst the .html is the older version on all 3 sites, but the .html version is the one that is active by default when clicking on the website.

This problem has never happened with me before. Is this a bug then, or can it be fixed on my end somehow?

Thank you!

Hello Daniel,
looking at the contents of the page, it would be correct for it to be with .php extension.
Could you please check che Properties of the page and make sure it is set with the .php extension currently?
If so, go ahead and delete the pre-existing .html versions in the destination folder.

I wonder if my problem is related to this problem somehow?

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/268358

I tried what you suggested Eric, and unfortunately there definitely is a bug as X5 says that the properties of the page are on .php but when I deleted the .html page on the hosting destination folder page than the webpage gave a 404 error on the interwebs (screenshot attached)! So no notice is taken of the .php page and thus my German payment page is now unreachable...

Please fix this bug asap!!

Guten Tag,

wenn ich auch das Problem von Daniel lese, liegt das Problem mit Konvertierung auf "php" wie ich ausführlich beschrieben habe.

im weiteren ist für mich das ich meine Angebote Black Friday von morgen nicht veröffentlichen kann!

Hello Daniel,
could you please re-export the project now that you have deleted the .html page?
Please do a CTRL + Preview and choose the option to export all of the website files.

OMG, this worked! Thank you Eric. So the CTRL+Preview successfully initiated the .php page(s) of the website.

All best,

Daniel
