Product pages return 403 error
Author: Laszlo M.Dear WebSite X5 Support,
I am using WebSite X5 Pro (older version) and I have an issue with product page URLs generated by the software. The links created are in the following format:
https://hoszigeteloaruhaz.hu/product/?product-name
The /product/ folder exists on the server, and both index.html and a manually created index.php file are present. However, when trying to access this URL, the server returns a 403 Forbidden error.
The same index.php file works perfectly when placed in another directory (e.g., /termek/), which suggests that PHP execution is blocked specifically in the /product/ folder – likely by server-side restrictions.
My questions are:
Is there a way in WebSite X5 Pro to configure product pages to be generated as static .html files instead of using a dynamic /product/?... structure?
Alternatively, can I change the default output folder for product detail pages (e.g., from /product to /termek) within the software?
I would prefer to avoid server-level workarounds if possible, and would appreciate any guidance on making the product URLs work correctly.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Best regards,
I also have an issue with my demo store where the product address is incorrect.
The incomedia staff has to take care of this problem; users can't fix it.

Hello Laszlo,
unfotunately it is not possible to change the configuration for the automatically generated product pages, so you will need to either intervene on the server's settings or use manually created product pages.
Hello Daniel,
your issue seems to be of a different nature, as in your case the URL reached from the Product Search page has a very unusual format, pointing to the "cartsearch" subfolder, for example
https://findelinks.de/123shop-hosteurope/cartsearch/%3C!../%3Eproduct/?produkt-33
instead of how it normally is
https://website.com/product/?product-1
Could you send me a copy of the demo shop project so that I can take a look to find out what may be causing this?
Thank you.
