Product Catalogue Object Fault/Flaw  en

Hi Incomedia,

With regards the Product Catalogue Object, I have set one of my health shop pages to display 5 rows of products on each page before the customer has to click at the bottom (1 2 ... 8 Next) to move to the next product page.

The problem is, when clicking to go to the next page, the object doesn't automatically move to the top of the next page but stays at the bottom of the next page.

This means the customer has to scroll up to see the "next" page's products then scroll back down to change to the next page...and so it continues.

You can see the problem here: https://www.thetahealth.co.za/natural-health-products.html

If you go to any normal health shop or any ecommerce site, the product page will always spring to the top of the product list so the customer can start browsing products from the top again and then scroll down the page.

Can you please add some kind of anchor that causes the Product Catalogue to automatically move to the top of each following page?

Thanks.

There are probably 3 options:

1. Incomedia is installing the function, which, as we know, could take years if it is installed at all.

2. Maybe a Javascript expert has a code so that clicking on a page number automatically jumps to the top of the page.

3. For now just a theoretical idea.

Here the 1 page with the product catalog would be divided into 8 pages with 1 product catalog each, which only shows a part of the products.

These 8 pages would be under a level set to "Hidden" in the sitemap.

On each of these 8 pages there would be a menu object at the top and bottom that only displays that level, so there would be page numbering at the top and bottom.

In the sitemap, the menu names of the pages in the level would then be numbers from 1 to 8.

In the large menu there would be a level that links to the 1st page of the hidden level.

If points 1 and 2 are not available or not available in the foreseeable future, here is point 3 as a small test page, see

Point 3 is of course more complex, but is an emergency solution if points 1 and 2 are not available.

(It > En) ...it can be done by adding one of my inventions with an EXTRA code...

Thanks for your input Daniel.

Option 3 is definitely not one I want to get into as it will take too much time and effort and if I want to change number of rows in the future, I will have to readjust all the pages.

Option 2 is a maybe, but Incomedia (option 1) should add this code as it's a common function in ecommerce.
