How does WebSite X5 connect to the database? Using the API or directly? I get an error message when I try to click update inside the online store section of the program, so that the inventory cannot be updated automatically anymore. The hosting says it is because the program is trying to connect directly to the DB while they require an API transfer. Thanks in advance for your answer.

I suspect that WebSite X5 uses the traditional direct connection to the database and not an API, because the traditional database parameters have to be entered when exporting the website to the Internet.
Maybe the Incomedia employees can confirm this statement and say whether API can also be used.

I hope so because right now it is not working optimally since everything inside the program has to be updated manually as an error message appears when I press update in the program's website section and I have been told that it is because WX5 does not use the API... This involves a lot of extra work that I would rather not have.

Looks like it's the API now it works as it should and I found the little bug that was causing me trouble :)
