Hello Derek,
I am sorry about the issue.
Is a specific path references when this error is displayed?
Does the situation persist if you disable your antivirus/firewall temporarily when using WebSite X5, to ascertain whether something is being affected by a restriction of some kind place by those?

Hello Derek,
what is the path of your project storage folder? You can check this in the Preferences.

Hello Derek,
please check if any restriction is present for that folder in its properties, and also check your antivirus/firewall settings to see if they are affecting WebSite X5.
If you have a disk other than C, you can also try copying and pasting the contents of /Documents/Incomedia/WebSite X5 - Pro into a new folder creared in the other disk, and then set the new path of the folder in the Preferences.
