Error while Project loading Website X5 Evolution 8  en

After a sudden crash we tried to load the project but a pop-up window said:

"Error while Project loading."

We also tried to replace the .iwp with the backup .bws but the same error occured.

Would you please help us?

We use X5 Evo 8 version 8.0.16.

Our site is:

Our site has been working flawlessy for almost two years so far.

Your quick help would be highly appreciated.

Hi  Procont P.,

I kindly ask you to copy the back up file (.bws) of your project. After taht please rename the copied file to .iwp. 

If the problem should still persist, please send me your .iwp to file@answers.websitex5.com. Please, put into the e-mail subject "Riccardo" and the post number "28307".

Renaming the .bws to .iwp did not help, so I send you the original .iwp file by e-mail.

Hello!

I am sorry if I write in the wrong place, but I have the same problem, tried renaming the backup file, did not work. Can you help please, hundreds of hours work gone :(

Dear Dobrinka,

Renaming did not help to us. We sent the damaged file to Incomedia and waiting for repairment.

How you can send the file to Incomedia:

Ask "Noemi" from Incomedia OR start a new question from the opening page of http://answers.websitex5.com highlihting that you have a problem ( left side, life saver belt icon, yellow one.)

We did the same and within 48 hours Noemi answered asking to send them the damaged file, as you can read above. Pay attention to that:

1.you will receive a unique identifying number and a name, use this in the subject field of your mail

 2. send the mail to the e-mail address they give

 DO NOT send any other files to them to any mail as it will not be considered.

Anyways we are still waiting for the file repairment, hoping it is possible.

We will feed back to the readers after we have any answer.

Dear Noemi,

Thank you for the info! However we are a bit disappointed because from almost thirty pages only two could be recovered - this is not a solution, I hope you understand.

We do really highly appreciate your efforts. Maybe our case is unique, and the file had too much damage.

We suppose we should have made backups every week at least. It is advised to every user then, to make backup copies of their work reguralry.

Now we are rebuilding our site, copying content from the .html site, from page to page.

That is a pity. We hope this will not happen too frequently.
