Spam destroys guestbooks  en

There really is no point in having a guestbook until Incommedia sort out the abuses.

FrownMoney mouth

The Morons keep trying to post malicious links until the guest book loses the genuine messages.

This is ridiculous!! We need some proper " GERMAN EnGINEERING" Mercedes Benz, or BMW would never sell something that failed so abysmally to defend it's customers so why do Incommedia?

How hard can it be to block any entry with HTML or similar content before it reaches the control panel. It should be so easy. All these spurious entrys have "Href=" statements in the text.

To the best of my knowledge and belief no known language uses such syntax in normal text.

Alll the spurious entrys on my guest book  have random strings for the senders name so again text analysis should be able to spot them with an algorithm.

Do not tell me it cannot be done because clearely it can, all that is missing is the will!

Hi Mike,

We can't purely purge a comment basing on a spam filter. It is more complex than what you think.

Usually, a web service is used to identify a spam message.

Actually, the guestbook comments are filtered and checked before being saved. Anyway, we'll improve the guestbook filter in the future releases. Wink
