I have been on 1000's of servers and been in enough X5ers hosting accounts to give a good opinion of what to look for in a good hosting company!! (Don't forget you can host your website from any server on the planet. Go for a REPUTABLE hosting company)

The most important attraction of a hosting company is the offers of unlimited services in the all included price per year. Secondly it's the CONTROL PANEL (CP) for the server.

Your CP can provide you with every scrap of information you need for statistics and tools. For instance it has all your database requirements in there. Blogs, Carts, mail, FTP etc.... and most of these take only 3 clicks to install from the panel.

You can have more websites on your server by utilising the ADDONS. I have 17 websites on my one server all with their own Domain Name. Something to think about in the future as you become involved in building more and more websites.

Before you sign up to any hosting company ask to see a demo of their CP. Email them to see if they respond within 24 hrs.

The introductory offer for One.com is an excellent starter package but it is limited. You probably won't even notice you have a CP for the first 6 months!! After the initial first year take time out to look at other hosting companies. (The control panel in One.com is basic and easy to operate but confusing at times)

X5 runs well with a LINUX server NOT a WINDOWS server. If given the choice go for LINUX. One guy told me he had a choice but chose windows because he had windows 7 on his computer!! This has nothing to with a windows server.

My recommendation for a hosting company is JUST HOST. (Having been with these for over 5 years) It is a paid for service, but is more professional as is the CP. I'am not on commission for advertising this company I'm just giving you the opporunity of owning all the tools you should ever need for website creation.
