I have been using version evolution but now have purchased version 9. I am trying to load my existing project in the new version but it tells me that it was created in a version not compatible with evolution 9 . Is there any way around this??

Hi Lesley, what is your old version V7 or V8 ? To import a project in V9 you must have V.8.0.16

Hope this helps you, ...J.P.

Hi JP, thank you for replying..

The old version that the website was built on was version 7....

Does this mean that if I wish to use version 9 I would have to build the website from scratch again??

Alternatively, if I was able to get hold of a copy of version 8 could I then import from 7 to 8 and then from 8 to 9 ??

Please advise

Lesley

Yes.

Maybe the Incomedia team can convert your project from V7 to V8 so that you can import it to your V9.

Theresia

Hi again, your problem is pointed to the support (I did it...) and you can make a private post (only readable by you and the staff of Incomedia) and you enclose your V7 project (if less than 1024 Kb). If greater than 1024 Kb you can write to file@answers.websitex5.com  indicating the link of this post.

Cheer up, ...J.P.
