Hi,

I want to create an email form within a lightbox where my visitors can enter their details.

So as soon as they click a link in the text, I want a lightbox popping up with the form and submit button inside.

please help.

Regards,

Sami

Hello Sami,

There are 2 options to do this: The first is to search for a script that does it and you include it with the "HTML and Widget Object" or you create a project where you add only 1 page with the contact form on it and a custom template so that only the content is visible and then you upload this project online in a subdirectory. After you finished this part you open the main project and you create a link and from the link options you choose "file or URL with Showbox" and you put the URL of the project where you added only the form.

Hope it helps.

Hi thank you for your answer. I combined the 2 solutions by creating an extra page without template in the main project. I then include a link with showbox to that 1 page with showbox.

Works very well.......but when completing the form and I push submit, the box does not close.

Is there a way to close the box when the form is submitted?

Feel free to do a test on this testpage

Hello Sami,

In WebSite X5 it's not possible to close automatically the showbox. The only way would be to write custom code that does this for you. I would suggest you to create a hidden page in the main project where you choose in the menu 2 - Properties - to have it without template and where you add a message like "thank you for writing us" and then you add in the form settings to open this hidden page when the form is submitted.

Hope this helps.
