Helpmy Upload Is Corrupted

I have been having troulble with the guestbook. Now the upload is failing. Incomedia upload status show error for most of the files.
This looks really bad!!

. . . seems to be more a server-problem - webspace full ? - or wrong directory/rights ?

I reinstalled X5 and that fixed the upload but my Webhosts have stated that they only allow 755 permissions not 777 because of security concerns so the Guestbook idea is dead.
