My photo's look different after use of Evolution 9  en

Hello,

I’m building a photography website with Evolution 9.

When I look with the preview option my photo’s look totally different: it seems the red colour is green now. I tried to use the photo editor in Evolution 9 but I don’t get the original result back.

My photo’s look terrible now.  What to do?

Hello,

This is probably due to the compression needed to reduce your images. You could do a test: try to reduce the size yourself a picture using graphics software. Insert the small picture and see if you see the same effect.

Some graphic formats allow for greater depth and a larger number of colors. The PNG is one.

Hope this can help Smile

This gives the same effect. I put the original JPEG picture in the gallery, the picture is o.k. If i look it up in my website or with the preview, it looks totally different. There is something strange: Firefox presents a good photo, Internet Explorer gives the 'greenish' version.

Hello Gert-Jan,

Please check what color profile settings you have used for the images and you can also try to save them with the setting "optimized for the web". In most cases it depends on the color profile which is not a standard profile and this causes this issue. If you use another profile they will look the same.

If you require any further information, please feel free to write back.
