Most likely to be an error in your FTP username and password... check very carefully.
You could also try removing the ftp. prefix from the FTP address - in other words, ftp.xxx.xxx.xxx becomes xxx.xxx.xxx
Can you connect to your server using the same FTP details (including the same username & password) using an FTP client like FileZilla?

My previous attachement was not OK, I think, so here is a new one:

Hi Paul M. Thanks for all your support!
Yes, I have tried to connect with my old FTP-program (Core FTP Lite) and it worked fine!
I have also tried your first suggestion, to leave out the ftp. prefix (or hhtp://) in the case of my present internet provider. But nothing helps!
On my present site at my host there only lies an index file, but that should be overwritten by X5.10 according to their help section? Or what??
Try deleting the existing index.html file on the server using CoreFTP before uploading with Website X5
And check that the CHMOD permissions for the folders and files on your server allow you to write to the directories. You should be able to do this also using CoreFTP. Being able to log in to your server is good of course, but it doesn't prove that you can write to the folders. And if that is the case then X5 would throw an error.
It looks like your username and password are correct judging from what you've said... but if you used copy and paste on the password then try entering it manually into X5.
Also, try unticking 'Passive FTP' in X5
It's worth trying all of these things to see if you can solve the issue.
Thanks for the clearer image... are you sure your FTP address details are correct? They should not begin with http://
They should begin with ftp.
Check with your host for the correct FTP address to use
PS: I should also have mentioned that antivirus and firewall packages can sometimes interfere with the upload from X5. Check that you have added Website X5 as an 'exception' to both your antivirus and firewall software, to allow ftp traffic to pass freely through to the internet.
It sometimes helps to run X5 as an 'Administrator' if you are using Windows 7
