Good afternoon. Does anyone want to help me with a solution how i can track how many times a user (for evry single user in part around 30 users) has registered on my website? I have a personal page per user in witch is automatically redirected after the login. The hit counter script i can not see statistics unless i visit the page and then automatically add the number of visits with my visit. I searched for something on the internet all day afther a script that will give me statistics on the outside. I even found a server but limits me to 3 pages counted. Thanks Remus

Have a look at this site:

http://www.tracemyip.org/

They have a free service in addition to paid subscriptions.

Paste the code provided into the Custom Code field, located in Step 1 - General Settings - Expert tab...  select 'Before closing the HEAD tag' from the drop-down menu...

It works great, and the information returned is very comprehensive.

You only need to use one tracker, even though they provide three with the free account...  there is a 500 page limit to the log with the free version, but one page visit equals one log entry, so it's still pretty generous.

Perhaps you misunderstand how the tracker integrates with your website?  Each user can be tracked each and every time they visit their personal page, using the free version alone.

Apologies if I have misunderstood your query...

TraceMyIP uses cookies to identify unique visitors.  You can use the Address Book IP tag feature to record and track unique visitors.  There is a limit of 20 Address Book IP tags in the free version.

However, even that needn't be an issue as you are concerned with tracking private pages only.  In theory the only people who can view these pages are those to whom you issue a password, and yourself as the admin.

You can easily discount each of your own visits by keeping a note of your IP address and cross-referencing it in the log.  In this way you can identify each time one of your members visits their private page, as a different IP address to yours will be recorded in the log against that webpage.  It doesn't matter what the IP address is...  it only matters that it is different to your own.

You can do all this with just one tracker, and without cost.  I've used the software myself for many years.

Hope that helps!

It is possible even with dynamic IP (most ISP's provide dynamic IP here in the UK too)  -  I say this because I have tried and tested it myself.

The Address Book IP tag feature can take dynamic IP into account, because it uses cookies instead of IP address to track unique visitors, and updates the IP info each time it changes.

However, in your own case the situation is even easier because instead of many visitors to one page, you are concerned with only two...  i.e. your own visits (easily tracked) and that of your clients who have unique access to your restricted pages.

You don't need a separate tracker on each private page  -  you can use a global one operating across the entire site.
