Preview crash  en

Okay, this is 06/13/2013 and not answer to this crash on Preview solution found.  Hum, I to suffer from this exactly as Nigel discribes, and others.  Sometimes the screen goes all white and nothing, then other times it comes up with a message box to send info to Website5x, then tells me to reinstall the software, which I did, then it asked to upload and update, which I did, and sitll not positive results.  On top of this, maybe a related problem, is that the Copy/Paste does not work when trying to Link outside sources with a page, or Link to.  I also tried a cut in a document window and then moved the cut to another location on the same edit page and while the cut material dissappeared it would not reappear when Paste was used.  I had to arrow back, using the undo feature to restore the "cut" text, but it only restored it back to the original location.  Not sure this is a different problem or is tied to the Preview crashing?? Luckily, unlike some of you, I am still uner the 30 day money back -- Also of note, I am a reg owner of Compact 9 and it has none of these faults.  It seems to be working perfectly -- so why did I update to this redicualously high priced version?  Because my web host is a secure site and I had to update to Evolution version 10 to get SFTP -- secure ftp -- all version under the version 10 do not have this feature.  Hope someone comes up with an answer soon -- Claudio seems to be running in circles giving everyone with this problem the same anwers which have proven not to work.  I use windos 7 and IE9 but some are using Chrome and other web browers -- doesn't seem to be any commons here, still sounds like a software problem.  For get the attempted work arounds or fancy key strokes to circumvent the Preview and other features, that is not what we paid for.

I moved your post to a new topic since it's easier to help you because every issue is different.

Did you send the reports when the program crashed so that we get the information to see what exactly is the cause?

My answers to the other issues that looks similar, are to try to make the system work correctly because if the Framework .NET installation is not working correctly, then the program will not work properly, and usually this is the main source of the issue because on most system it works. By trying to make reinstall the .NET Framework it is possible to exclude this as source of the issue because on every computer theses issues seems similar but are different and reinstalling the windows features needed by the program we come closer to the solution.

Did you reinstall also the .NET Frameworks like explained in the other posts?

Yes, I did as the pop up window asked and sent the message concerning this issue when it happened.

No, I did not do the reinstall on .Net Frame, and for good reason, the other two people with this same problem did so with no positive results.  I am very cautious about making changes to my windows Pc when it is working perfectly good.  I would think that by now the problem would have already been isolated and solved?

Okay I tried it and it did not work.  went to preview and the page froze, I closed it and went back to the work page, tried preview again and it went to a white page and froze, a box window appeared asking for information, I filled the box in and clicked on the send button and then the whole program closed.  ?? any solutions, from here??????????????????????????????????//

Okay I will do that.  There is something I mentioned before, but no one seems to be making any remarks about this.  It has to do with Copy/paste, and appears to have a connection with the preview crash, or freeze.  Within an edit page of a site document, if I cut a section or a single word from the document, move to another location in the same document and paste nothing appears.  This happens in using LINK also.  I Go and highlight a word then click on LINK icon and the link box comes up.  I then go the the folder I want to link to High light the page to link to and do a copy then return to link command, right click, and Paste in the command box and nothing show, stay blank.  Then when I go to Preview I will usualy experience the preview freeze.  I have tried all of these same steps in my registered copy of Compact 9 and everything works just fine, not a problem at all. 

One other thing, when I contacted Webhost ONE they said I did not have to use their webhosting service.  And if I wanted to use a different webhost I could use a third party, like filezilla, to upload to the SFTP.  One of the reasons I wanted to upgrade to Evolution 10 was it is supposed to be able to upload SFTP while Compact 9 does not have this feature -- so, is that true, if I do not use ONE as my webhost I will have to use a third party uploader???  Thanks for your help, Dan

Okay, it happened again and I did as you said, I clicked on the "Details" tab and clicked on the send button.  What now?  I think I am going to ask for a refund.  My registered copy of Compact 9 is working great, not one problem.  I just received an email from Web One that I would still have to use a third party to upload my website to another host for secure uploads (SFTP), and this is one of the prime reasons I wanted to go to Evolution 10 as I was told that it would upload to SFTP web host.  So, how do I get t refund?

Hello Dan,

Thank you very much for sending the report. It seems that your installation was not complete and the best option would be to uninstall the program and then delete the installation folder in program files. Once done donwload the program again from your profile on answers.websitex5.com in "Downloads" and then install it again.

Once done open the preview and then paste following link in the preview of WebSite X5:

http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/?fpchrome

It will inform you that the plugin is already present but you need to proceed to install it.

To get the refund you need to contact cleverbridge at *** and then they will proceed with the refund.

Hi, Thanks for all the help, but still I am having a problem with the software not preforming the Copy/Paste, fro window to window, or within an edit page.  I was also told by Webhost ONE that I would have to use a third party to upload SFTP if I chose not to use them as my Host.  So, I did contact Cleverbridge and they sent me back to you, then I was approved for a refund.  I check and have received the refund.  Very timely, very professional.  I do love the Software, and have a registered copy of Compact 9 and it works flawlessly, so I will return to it.  I did post a positive 4 Star review at CNet, but warned of the preview and Copy/Paste problem, but that it seemed to be a problem with a very few people.  Thank you for your help, I will remove Evolution 10 from my PC and return to Compact 9, Thanks, Dan
