Hi, At my website I have used the pdf widget in the newspage http://www.kyankas.com/news.html If I open the page in Google chome it works perfect but if I open the page with internet explorer ( and only with windows 8) he automatically wants to open or download the file. If I want the see the pictures on the same page you only see them have because the are behind the space were the PDF schould be. Again this only happens with internet explorer with windows 8. On my other comp (windows 7) everything is good with internet explorer Anyone has a idea how I can solve this problem? Thanks, Rob

Hi Rob,
Firstly, in your Internet Explorer on the machine where Windows 8 is installed, go to Tools - Manage Add-ons - Toolbars and Extensions, and check to see whether Adobe Reader is disabled. If it is, then enable it. Make sure you have selected 'Show all add-ons' from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side.
If you can't find Adobe Reader at all in the list, then visit the following link (in Internet Explorer) to install it:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Then close and restart Internet Explorer, clear your browser cache, and let us know if the issue is resolved.
Kind regards,
Paul

Yes after installing Adobe reader I dont have the problem any more.
How can it be that I only have it with IE and not with Chrome?
You most likely already had the Adobe Reader extension installed and working correctly in Chrome.
The extension can be installed, enabled, disabled, or removed within each browser independently, according to the user's preference as to how he/she likes to use their browser.
Kind regards,
Paul
