Login page & registration log.
Author: Frederik M.Hello,
I've a question about how to use the login registrations page. I know how to make an username & password for a certain webpage on mine website & I know how I can access it, but what I don't know, is how to use the registration page in step 4:
1.I want that the users who login into mine restricted pages, with usersname & password are logged into a file (if can a txt file or something like that!). So, I see standing in the section advanced settings => Access rights : Registration page. That page I did give the name" logs". So, when I login now into a restricted page, I can't see anny registrations on the login page! So, how does this registration page work?
2. What are the registrations we can do? Does it registrate an username with an IP-adress and timestamp??
3. If a user login into a page & he has finished working into it, how can we give the user an option to get logged out? I can't find an logout button?
4. Is it possible to write some C# or VB code into the webpages, to let do some automated handlings? If yes, are there some examples to see how it works?
Thanx & Best regards, Frederik
Hello Frederik,
In regards to your 3rd point, the Logout function can be found as an HTML/Widget Object in Step 3 - Page Creation.
Drag and drop an HTML Object to your page and double-click it to open its properties... the 'Logout' can be selected from the Widget List on the right-hand side of the screen, under the 'Private Area' section.
Kind regards,
Paul
Hello Frederik,
The login section is not creating a log file with informations of when an user has logged in.
The registration page, is a page you need to create with the email form where you ask the user for the username and password to use or to register and then you will provide these informations, and once you receive it you need to create an account in the program and then upload the project again to make it effective.
You cannot add C# or VB code in the pages since the server are not supporting these types of code. You will need to use a language like PHP to write your custom code.
Please feel free to write back if you need more information.
