Why upgrades and not updates ?  en

I am about to upgrade to v10 and this will be the 3rd time of paying for updated software. It will be my last. Other companies such as wysiwyg web designer actually do updates that are free. Every update you make turns into a NEW VERSION which we have to buy again. This is already a hot topic on many we'd design forums. Can I suggest that income dis be less greedy and give us dedicated customers a break with some free updates Thanks

Hello J. Dudley,

There are many updates released to customers at no charge throughout the lifecycle of a particular version.  The updates for version 9 (all of which are free) are listed here:

Both hardware and software are continually developing, and Incomedia have to work hard to keep up with demand for new trends and designs.  If you observe how many 'Idea' posts are submitted to this forum then you will understand my point.

If they were to work for nothing then how would they support their partners and families?  They are a business like any other with costs and overheads to meet.

Kind regards,

Paul

I do understand that as I ran my own software company for over 10 years but when we made major changes to software, we earned the revenue required by targetting new customers. At no time did we punish previous users with small discounts etc. an existing customer has already contributed and by paying a substancial fee to start with is only getting a few changes with most of the new software containing the features he / she already has. I have already paid over £120 and its still only doing the same job as it did for the first version.

I like the software, despite the Bugs but was just making a point. My v10 is already needing a bug fix and the update wont download and install. all this after one week.
