Dear WebsiteX5!

I would like to use your product (Evolution 10) that I purchased for couple of month ago, but I could not. Actually I have to use the version 9 instead of the latest one.

I found several error reports in the forum

http://answers.websitex5.com/search/crash !comments lang:en

and most of them deal with a similar problem as mine, so in case of "Preview" my PC hangs up frequently, the monitor usually gets black, and only the PC power off can help. Of course I did all of your advices (.NET 4 framework uninstall - cleaning tools - .NET4 reinstall, and set the "max number of simultaneous processes" to 1) but did not really help.

I tried it under Windows XP and Windows 7, the problem still exists. So I am getting disappointed although being a veteran user of your product since the version 8. Please fix this bug ASAP, because momentarily your software is nearly useless. Please help me to be a contented user again. Thanks, fitomed

Hello Fitomed,

Does it happens also with a new project or only with an existing one?

Did you try also to reinstall .NET 3.5?

For windows 7 you can use following procedure:

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off

Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then  click on OK.

After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1

Please keep me updated.

Hello Claudio,

I did literally what you mentioned, but it seems this modification has no positive effect on the workflow. The problem (the preview screen randomly hangs up the PC) still exists, by a new or by an existing project also. In this hangup case some weird artifacts (patterns) appears on the screen, and the computer has to be switched off, with a long press of the power button.

Regards,

fitomed

Hello Fitomed,

Pleae check if the video card drivers are updated and also if windows has any update to install.

Once done please check again if the same issue still happens.

Many thanks!

Hi Fitomed,

I did have similar problem to yours, I did the same as you had done (.NET 4 framework uninstall - cleaning tools - .NET4 reinstall, and set the "max number of simultaneous processes" to 1), none of these things worked for me either. When the latest update was made available (10.1.0.39) I updated the program and it has worked fine eversince, maybe there is a glitch in your system that caused the program to crash as was happening to mine.

Please advise if you are up and running after the latest update.

google tradutor:

I'm having the same problem, the program crashes when visualisa and when you modify some content before it was not so! so sad!

Atenciosamente, fitomed
