When I have a vertical main menu, the submenu of pages are listed on the left of the site and if I hover over a menu item which is a new level, I get a fly out menu. I also get an indication there are pages inside the selction with the > symbol. This works for menu items in multiple levels.
BUT
When I have a horizontal main menu and make a selection which has multiple pages or levels these are listed on the left, but there is no indication that an item is a new level (there is no > symbol), and there is no fly out menu to indicate available pages.
How do I enable this??

On the image provided, the Menu Item Gallery is a new level
There are multiple pages in it
There is no > to indicate more pages
and when Highlighted or clicked on, there is no fly out menu
In fact, when clicked on the menu you see disappears and is replaced with only a menu of the pages within Gallery - leading to some confusion of the user wondering where they are and perhaps how they got there.
When Gallery is clicked on, the menu of pages should "fly out" and ALL menu options should remain visible as they would have if I had chosen a Vertical Main Menu.
Hello,
have you try to see at the step 4 -> stylesand patterns if you have active "path of the page" with flag on "view". The path of each page you can see if you have set this options.

I cannot find a Styles and patterns
I had already set page path to visible, is that what you mean?
Please see attached screen shot.
Hello,
ok, in the menu horizontal you can't see the dropdown menu, if you don't go on mouse hover the button of main menu. There isn't present an another functionaly for main menu or dropdown menu.

I now assume that Website X5 V9 cannot do as I require.
I will start a fresh thread as an idea that might be included in revisions and updates.
