Unable to install update

Getting the 406 error message when trying to install the new update. Virus checker and firewall have been disabled. What gives?

Same here, Same error. I use Webroot Antivirus, but it is disabled but I still get that 406 error. Any help please?

As an alternative to using the built-in update, you can download the full 10.1.0.39 release from here:

Once downloaded ensure WebSite X5 is closed, then right-click on the setup file and select 'Run as administrator' - this will install the updated version over the old, replacing files automatically as necessary - there is no need to uninstall your previous version first.
This method is preferred by some, as certain configurations can cause 406 errors when using the integrated update (usually as a result of proxy, anti-virus, firewall settings, etc., but each circumstance is unique)

Thanks. I was able to successfully install the update after running a complete diagnostics suite on my system and cleaned up some registry errors.
