What happened to the "Preview" option in Website X5? All I get is a white blank page whenever I click on it. Because of this I have to upload the site everytime I want to see my work.

Hello Anton,
Does this condition persist after you have rebooted your computer?
Kind regards,
Paul

Yes, Paul.
I am using a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and run Website X5 thru VMWare Fusion 5 running Windows 7. I've rebooted the Mac OS X and loaded Windows 7 several times, but the problem still persists.
Have you just recently started using the MacBook Pro with configuration as above? Did the preview show correctly for you beforehand?
Can you think of any change that you made to your hardware/software configuration just prior to this issue occurring in WebSite X5?
Did you do any software or driver updates, for example?
What release of Evolution 10 are you running? The latest is 10.1.0.39 - updating might help:

Just to make sure, I rebooted again. Both Operating Systems.
And then as you suggested, I just upgraded my Evolution 10 to the newest version, 10.1.0.39. But the problem is still there.
I had already created several websites before using the hardware/software configuration I have right now. WSX5 was performing perfectly then...

In case you may have misunderstood my previous post, it could have been because I missed out on one comma. This will be clearer:
"I had already created several websites before, using the hardware/software configuration I have right now. WSX5 was performing perfectly then..."
The importance of punctuation... lol
Ah, yes I see
You are correct... I had initially read your reply and assumed the meaning which you didn't intend.
I am puzzled as to what could be causing this problem - especially given that the same configuration worked flawlessly previously.
Do you have many other windows open and/or programs running whilst using WebSite X5? Is it possible that your working habits have changed in this regard, and that possibly there is now not enough memory available to the virtual operating system?
I will ask Claudio from Incomedia for help. He won't be available for comment until tomorrow at the earliest, but rest assured he will see this thread and respond in due course.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime, Anton.
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks Paul. But I have enough memory available in Win7.
Looking forward to more help. This feature (previewing) is so helpful that losing it feels like my hands are tied behind my back.
Hello Anton,
Is there any other program installed which could use the same port like the preview browser which is 8080 ?
Please try to open the preferences of WebSite X5 and then change the port used to see if this helps.
Many thanks!

What new port number do you suggest?
Author
I changed the port number to 8800 and then to 888 but I still get the blank preview page.
Hello Anton,
any port number which is not used is ok like as example 8888. Please try to copy the link from the adress bar of the preview and check if you paste it in another browser it works.
If it also doesn't works please check if you have any proxy program installed on your computer.
The only thing which could block the preview is a program which blocks the connections or changes them like a proxy if before it was working.
Many thanks!

You're right, Claudio. All I had to do was fix up my browser's internet connection and Preview worked again!
All this time I was using my Mac OS X's browser, so I wasn't aware that my Windows browser wasn't loading pages. Now everything's ok now. Thanks!
