Gallery Dropshadow Issue On Custom Frame  en

Is there a way of removing the drop shadow from thumbnails with frame?

I have designed an e-commerce site consisting of product pages each containing a gallery to display 3 or 4 images of a product within a custom frame.

* Gallery info *

Gallery Type: Horizontal gallery

W x H: 326

Visible thumbnails: 3/4

Thumbnail position: Bottom

Images type: JPG

frame type: PNG

* PROBLEM *

I used a PNG format for the frame so the center of the frame remains transparent. The PNG frame is applied to the large images without problem (png is placed over the jpg and no drop shadow is applied). However when the frame is added to the thumbnails, the thumbnail images are placed on top of the frame png and a drop shadow around the image border is applied. Since the frame I have designed has rounded corners and the thumbnail is placed over the frame I have applied an outer image margin of 10% so that the corners of the thumbnail do not overlap and block out the corners of the frame.

The site is www.sweetlywrapped.co.uk

I have also attached an image to show the issue.

Is there a way, perhaps a custom code, of removing the drop shadow that is applied to the thumbnail so the white of the image blends with the white/transpartent of the inside of the frame?

Kind regards,

Nat

Hello,

you have try to insert as image for thumbnail some images with format png. So you have two picture in format png and perhaps you can have the effect transparency in your image.

Hi Luca,

Sorry about the very late reply. I have been away over xmas and new year.

Yes I have thought of this but when I tried putting both the images as PNG format it caused the thumbnail image to become distorted. The dropshadow is still applied, however it misses the transparent parts of the image and is applied to the non-transparent part of the image.

Please look at file I have uploaded "2xPNG".

In these images both the thumbnail and frame are set to png format. The white surrounding the thumbnail images has been set to transparent. The frame image is already transparent.

Image 1 is with Outer Image Margin set to 7

image 2 is with Outer Image Margin set to 0

Hello,

In Flash the level can be different for trasparency even ifyou setthe transparencyin thegraphicsproperly. You should move the image in orderto center the imageat the centerof the frame as for example of Image 1.

Yes I have kept the image centered as it is in Image one. What i was showing you was that the main product over laps the boarder because the product image is in the forground, where as realistically it should be the frame in the forground. However if you look at both images, because the product image has been set as PNG, the dropshadow has been applied around the product and its shadow. I am wondering if their is a way of turning off the dropshadow altogether?

Is the flash in future versions going to be removed and replaced with javascript? or at least remodelled so that the frame image is placed over the image or the drop shadow can be switched off?

Also when I build a large gallery the drop shadow also appears around the edge. I believe that a normal list gallery is Javascript rather than flash. Is there a piece of code to remove it from the javascript gallery?

Example image attached

Hello,

Unfortunately, In Flash you can only move the image in orderto center the imageat the centerof the frame as for example of Image 1. For remove the border of the image you should open the file psd of the image from an software of graphic and remove the level of backround. In Javascript you can manipolate the image created with software graphic.
