How to "... and do the registration process again..."  en

Hello,

Following the instructions  under both
* 'Can I install Website X5 on two Pcs?' (http://answers.websitex5.com/post/5988) and
* 'How Many PCs can I Install WebSite X5  on?'  (http://www.websitex5.com/en/support.html#number_licence)

... it should be acceptable that i initially installed my original "X5 v10 professional" on my i3 laptop (where it because of its poor performance and screenresolution makes it a mess to work with X5) and now have installed that very same version (10.1.0.38) on my i7 desktop.

... but now I can NOT follow along with the last paragraphs guidiance:

"... and do the registration process again, inserting the same email address used for the first installation."

Will you please provide me with (a link to) some sreenshots or a little video of that part of the process?

Hi Holgar,

I'm sorry but there aren't any tutorials for this. I will try to explain as clearly as possible:

  • In order to install on your new computer, please donwload your program from the ''download''section here on answers first of all then launch your program.
  • You have already installed your program once and you have registered it with your email. Now everytime you have to install you are going to have to use the same email but, I can not see a licence for website X5 Professional 10 in your control panel therefore I can not tell what email you used to register it. If you wish, I can look it up for you if you give me your licence key.
  • Once you have registered, add your licence key and proceed according to the program instructions.

I hope this helps, but please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Thanks a lot for your answer, but

Unfortunaly neighter of us paid attention to the real issue in  my challanges.

Installing the X5 on my desktop i used a wsx5_pro_demo.exe-file, that I downloaded 1th October 2013 turned ... which by partly luck turned out to be the right version 10.1.0.38 ... but a DEMO.

On my logins download-page I just can download a 10.1.4.45 ... which I do not want.

Please provide me with a link from where I can download a licens-able wsx5_ev.exe version 10.1.0.38.

Hi Holger!
The Demo version you used is of the Professional 10, you have Evolution 10 therefore you can not add your project created with your demo version in your Evolution 10 because it is a previous version.

You can only download your Evolution 10 from your control panel and install the 10.1.4.45 in order to have the latest update of the program if you wish.
If you want to use the project you have created with the professional 10 Demo version instead, you have to purchase a licence of Website X5 Professional 10.

Hello Samantha,

I see you do not get the point. For the time beeing I do not wish anything else but to download a installation file resulting in a X5 with the version 10.1.0.39! Here comes the reason why:

Try to follow the checkout-process on www.slidstaerk.dk uploaded with a 10.1.0.39 With its 4 or 5 steps until the customer reaches the payment-picture this is not professional but quite OK. The generated customermail is also a little ok ... with its 2 step checkout.

Then the owner of the site, Per, got very happy when he read Incomedias anouncement of the DANISH version 10.1.4.45 ... uploaded to www.slidstaerk.dk/b_testomr

Almost a succes

Until / EXCEPT, that the upgraded environment now 'provides' the customer with a disaster of at least 7 or 8 steps before she gets her 'permisson' to pay! And the customermail links to "Step 4" ... and from there on there stil are 3 steps to the payment!

Where the h... does the upgrade description say anything of that catastrophe.

Where are we users of X5 instructed
* in HOW we can / have to install the next version on another computer from where we can test Incomedias 'surprieses' before we spoil our production environment? THAT WARNING would be helpful to find on the download-page.
* to SAVE the DOWNLOADED installation-files?

environment (with 1000 of links to locally stored pictures), we have tried to figure out where in the unreadable js's and/or php's Incomedia has hidden these BUGS ... and how to reverse them ... but we need much more time or guidiance.

If anybody has figured it out ... send me an email at ***.

Another easy way would be to reinstall the previous version (10.1.0.39) ...

But for that, we need to find a THAT installation kit ...

I really can not understand, why does Incomedia refuse to give it to us (again)?

Please everybody else ... have a look.

Do you still have your previous installationfiles?

Version 10.1.0.39 was released about july 2013.

Hello Holger,

I'm sorry , could you please add screenshots and explain exactly what you are trying to do? The 10.1.4.45 version works correctly, what kinds of problems are you having with it?

I see that you have added extra html codes for payments, maybe this is causing issues.
Please give me more details.

I've found my 'work around' ... so now it has to be described ...

Of cause I do admit it is very difficult to read my posts and to understand, that what I had to be helped with were the problems that came out of that the 10.1.0.39 in its /cart/x5cart.js used to spell something like ...

... which and the (without www.jspretty.com and e.g. 'Sublime Text' completely unreadable a, b, c etc.) changes in res/x5engine.js makes it impossible to fill out the textboxes under Advanced > Shopping Cart > Order Management > Payment Type > Custom Code ... with meaningfull instructions to the Customer ... AND (especially wrong) does the mail-link send the email-mail-dialog user one step to much backwards tocart/index.html#sendPayment/ where she once again is told that the already send order is send once more.

On my own I now have found the following 'work around' ...

As you can se I duplicate the original 'html' and rename the duplicate to 'emailHtml' ... while the 10.1.4.45-new 'emailHtml' is commented out or deleted!

Unfortunately I have to do this manually and repeat it each time I have uploaded a change to the cartdata ... 

Please let me apologize my part of the confusions ... when you have pointed out in the update discription from 10.1.0.39 to 10.1.4.45 it is said that this is what is to expect:

It's necessary to update the software from the "Check for updates" button on the sidebar
