How can I use a new-style template?  en

Hi,

It is my intention to adapt my current website to the new more modern style of website presenting.

This means :

1. there is a fixed block on top of the page (1/5 to 1/4  of the available display space) : this stays fixed and doesn't move or change.

2. a floating part underneath that can be scrolled

a good example is www.ericdecorte.be

Is this possible in X10?

Thanks for coming replies,

Erik

Hello Erik,

This is possible. but this needs a little tweaking. Try as followed:

Go to Step 1 in WebsiteX5 and make the top Height=1.
Make your menu bar in height 120 pixels.

Use photoshop or something else to make your own background for the menu, with your text and logo, in size 1920x120 pixels.

Go to Step 4 (advanced settings), go to main menu, and use automatic scrolling.

If you send your logo our tekst i'll be happy to provide you with a sample to work with. If you are from Belgium, do you speak flemish or french? because in flemish (dutch) it's easier for me to explain.

Best Regards,

Tom

Hi Erik

if you are going to make something like www.ericdecorte.be, then you don't need menu nor header, you need to set the height of them to "0"

then you need to create your own floating header and you need to copy that menu inside your body tag of your website on general setting>expert tab

floating navbar are usualy made with css, you can easily find one on the internet and make the changes to fit your needs, then simply place it in body tag of your website.
