you need to publish your website, then open your page (cart/index.html or php)with html editor or notepad, and add your redirect code on the head section.

remember, each update can reset your setting, so have a backup copy of your custom change, and replace it each time that you update your website.

why you are puting the whole domain under SSL? you are already paying for it (exept if you use shered SSL from your host)?

partial SSL is good, if your shop is located inside subdomain (shop.gurtan.com).

with x5 you can not put the shop inside subdomain, unless you create another website as your shop and put it inside subdomain and place a link button like e-shop inside your main website and link it to your subdomain website.

I checked your website and in my opinion you better off having your entire domain inside SSL.

Hi Anthony,

Hmm.. Subdomain can be good idea, I will work around it soon.

The reason I have the dedicated ssl is for customers to enter their credit card information securely. With v9 I was able to do the redirect because there was no #step string.

I believe search engines don't like https as much as they like http, that is the reason I was planning to change it for SEO purposes.

Best Regards,

Hello Vedat,

the 301 permanent redirect is the only way to inform the search engines about the new URL of the page and to keep the indexing of the previous one on the new one.

The browsers and the search engines are automatically transferred to the new page you have set in the redirect.

Many thanks!
