I have a website created in x5 v8 with an extensive number of pages.
I own both v9 & v10 and want to upgrade my site to v10.
When I import the v8 site to the newer version I noticed it will require an extensive amount of "page adjustments" before going live.
Is there any type of paid service or consultants available that will handle the conversion for me and make the adjustments needed to go live with it?
Thanks,
Art

Hello Art Ferreira!
In order to open your .iwp project correctly with your new WebSite X5 Evolution 10, I suggest you follow the instructions below:
Please open your WebSite X5 Evolution 8 and go into Step 5. Choose the ''Optimize and batch to folder'' option then '' No optimization''.
Now choose the folder you wish to export your file in: we recommend you create your project file in a simple file path, like for example C:/project name. Do not cancel this folder and do not move it because you will need it when you will have to import your images correctly into WebSite X5 Evolution 10.
Import your .iwp project file in Evolution 9 then go forward.
Go to Step 5 5 and choose the "export your project" option in order to create your .iwzip file.
Now please open your WebSite X5 Evolution 10 and click on ''import'' then select your ''.iwzip'' file. Once it has been imported and opened, you have to press CTRL on your keyboard and click on ''preview'' (top right corner of the program) at the same time in order to recreate your images.
I wish to remind you that you have to complete this operation on the same pc you have used to create your WebSite X5 Evolution 8 project in the beginning without changing or touching at all the original project file. This is very important.
I hope this helps,
Samantha

Hi Samantha,
Thanks for your response.
When trying to install v9 so that I can import/export my v8 site, I receive an error message when entering the v9 License Key that states:
ATTENTION: The LicenseKey entered corresponds to a version that has been upgraded therefore it is not valid.
How do I get v9 installed so that I can import from v8 and export to v10?
Thanks,
Art

Hi Samantha,
I forgot to mention that the error message name is:
Activation Error: 311
Thanks,

Hi Art Ferreira,
WebSite X5 Evolution 9 should only be used to export project but you should work with WebSite X5 Evolution 10. In order to unlock WebSite X5 Evolution 9 again, please proceed with the manual unlocking:

Hi Noemi,
When I follow your instructions and enter the registered code I receive the following:
"The Unlock Code is not correct"
I have tried this multiple times with the same results.
What can I do to get my v9 software registered so that I can get my v8 site over to v10?
Thanks,

Hi Noemi,
When I follow your instructions and enter the registered code it shows for my v9 software I receive the following:
"The Unlock Code is not correct"
I have tried this multiple times with the same results.
One thing I noticed is that when looking at my licences on the answers website, my v10 software says "Registered on 2014-07-10 16:02:07" and my v9 says "Upgraded"
What can I do to get my v9 software registered so that I can get my v8 site over to v10?
Thanks,

I am still not able to get my v9 software code entered correctly.
What do I need to do to get this resolved.
I own v8, v9 and v10.
My v8 is installed and working properly.
My v9 is installed but will not accept my code.
I need to convert my site from v8 to v9 so that I can ultimately work with the site in v10.
Until I can get my v9 working correctly I will not be able to install v10.
Please help!!!!!!

Hi Noemi,
When I click "Save Instructions" it creates a file named WebSiteX5.html.
I save that file to my desktop and then paste the contents into the Unlock Code box of the Offline Manual Activation.
The information contained in the file that is created is as follows:
INCOMEDIA WEBSITE X5 MANUAL UNLOCK ACTIVATION INSTRUCTION
Use the following instructions to unlock your Incomedia WebSite X5 on a PC with no Internet connection (Computer A).
Please remember that if you are registering for the first time, you are going to have to confirm your account by clicking on the link that you will automatically receive by e-mail.
I then click "Next" and receive a message stating: "The Unlock Code is not correct".
I can not go any further so I am not sure what to try next.
I have attached thae created file to this message.
Thanks,
Art
