Received reinstall message

While opening ev12 I received error message stating error occurred while opening program please reinstall when clicked on a message asking to change computer settings when click yes the ev box opens to begin program reinstall. If I follow that will I loss all my web files and already created web site or will my files and Web site creations remain after I do the new reinstall.

Hello Carl,
In a default installation WebSite X5 stores all project files separately from the program files, in the user's Documents.
So reinstalling the software does not affect existing projects if you have not changed folder paths.
However, and I cannot stress this enough, you should always maintain a discrete backup of any project you are working on, in the form of an IWZIP file as produced in Step 5 ('Export the Project' option), and this backup should be stored securely in a location remote from your computer.
If you follow this advice then there is no reason to ever lose a project or project data... if the worst happens simply import the IWZIP file back into WebSite X5 after reinstalling the software.
