I have a shopping cart, I have specfic quanity so I have to "send info to database" not to email
Customers confirmation or purchasing option is not being sent to them. I tried to force registration and that still does not send the customer the emails.
Is this a database problem? what do I need to check?

Hello again Lauren,
Does the email address you are sending from originate from your publichardware.com domain? If not that could be the problem.
I notice that you are on version 2019.3.17 - version 2020.1.8 is out now and there have been a lot of changes and alterations to the shopping cart functionality:
WebSite X5 changelog
If you choose to update you can do so by restarting WebSite X5 and following the prompts when they notify you that an update is available.
Finally, there is a built-in email test facility in your online control panel, available here:
http://publichardware.com/admin/login.php
And here are instructions on how to access it:
WebSite X5 online control panel - email test facility
Kind regards,
Paul
Search the WebSite X5 Help Center

thanks paul! It says my website 5x is up to date (not 2019.3.17) and If I am not mistaken I am paid for updates. (I will have to check)

hey paul, I am an active member, Do they rotate who gets updates when, or am I just out of luck and the glitched forgot me?
Actually, you appear to be running the latest version (2020.1.8) already, Lauren... I've checked the source code of your website.
My apologies for any confusion. I think the glitch is on our side!
We'll await Incomedia's response to this issue. I notified them yesterday on your behalf. Many thanks for your patience in the meantime.
Hello Lauren
As indicated by Paul, does the email address you are sending from originate from your publichardware.com domain or not?
Also, do you send any other type of email from your website? Does that work instead?
Did this use to work before and now no longer does or is this the first time you're using the functionality
Keep me posted on this here
Thank you
Stefano

For the email.
Website is Publichardware.com
Email that is being sent is "***" - from the sending page
BUT I notice on the "sending" page it says "admin email address" I have ***, BUT the admin to check the back office is a completely different email that goes to gmail.com

Also, when I send an email from the back office from *** to my email address it does go out. it takes a while but that might be how often my email is automatically checked up on
Did it work before? The previous problem was trashed (2 years ago) due to never getting the database to work. (same website, same domain, figured out the database problem)

photo 2 of 2, also created an admin email for the same email that was supposed to be sending out.
I also just got the latest update. still no emails.
Hello LAUREN
When you talk about back-office, do you mean publichardware.com/admin or some kind of panel from your webhosting?
If the email is working correctly from the /admin section, it seems very weird that this is not working from the cart.
Perform this last test for me. If it still doesn't work, I'll set the topic as private and analyze your project personally
Keep me posted here on this
Thank you
Stefano
I had similar difficulties. And until now I have not managed to cope with him. My customers are many who are disappointed because of this. And I finally made a shopping cart through other media

back off means the /admin
so when I go to the /admin and send an email using *** it does go out
Hello again Lauren,
Just while you are waiting for Stefano's next input, can you confirm that you have verified that your email settings in Step 1 Settings > Advanced > Data Management > Email match EXACTLY with those which you used in the WebSite Test section of the administrator's control panel? (where the email is sent and received successfully)
If you make any changes to the above section in Step 1, then you need to make a fresh upload to the server before you can retest email sending from your live website.
That's a shame, Harizonda, because I can assure you with almost total confidence that the issue would almost certainly have been server side, and one which could have been resolved with tenacious and methodical troubleshooting.
If we can assist, please let us know.
And one step earlier that determines I create a new email from the hosting with the forward to the email @yahoo. After that I tried all the perfect walk now

It now works, I started changing one thing after another. When I changed the "send email before payment" it started working the way it should.
Great, thanks for letting us know!
